Mentors

I was totally inspired and moved by seeing and hearing Sonia Sotomayor this evening. If there has been one recurring theme in all the conversations I've been part of or presentations I've heard on the past two days, it's the importance of mentors in women's lives.
My muscles don't ache yet, like some, but the stretching has begun.

Minutiae

I'm new at the blogging thing. Is no detail too small? I think, no--some details are too small. Humor me while I get into a rhythm.

Unaccompanied Major

So begins the small adventure. I'm waiting to board the train to Princeton on a strangely humid, gray morning. The clearest part of my mission is to be sure to be in front of a TV tomight at 9:00. As for networking with high profile alumnae, not very clear on what I hope to accomplish.

Before the beginning

Hello.

How do you like the background I chose? It took me about half an hour to look through them all and decide. There was no pattern or image that exactly represented what my intention is. Why would there be? How could there be?
I chose something cheerful. With colors. Muted colors, yes. But still. Pleasing to me.

I'm going on a couple of adventures in the next few weeks. One small one, one bigger one. Maybe more adventures will follow. I feel the need to have a person/place/thing to share my stories and photos with.

So here we are.
